Charles Allis was in need of a new website design. The website needed to attract four user types: Tourists, Renters, Joiners, and “Cool Kids”. They also wanted to keep the users engaged on the site by showing off the beautiful mansion with large photos, as well as having interactive parts to learn more about the rooms and collections. Lastly, the site needed to get more people to come to the museum, book weddings, and become museum members.
Research, Sitemap, Identity, Branding, Wireframes and Design.
Wireframes and Design:
Homepage design options were wireframed to figure out the best way to show the content and the story we were telling. Mobile navigation was explored to see what could be done to make the user have the best experience finding things quickly. Four different homepage design options were presented to the client.
Color paletes were explored as well as logo options
Designing the Pages:
Once the client chose a homepage design option, I took that design and used it to create the rest of the pages of the site for XL Desktop, tablet, and mobile sizes.
