Wisconsin Literacy needed a better application for their staff to manage their learners (students) and instructors. The system they were using prior was difficult to manage, and unefficient. Two major problems were solved. First, allowing staff to enter and update data quickly and efficiently, so more time could be spent helping students, and less time doing admin work. Second, helping Wisconsin Literacy receive more grants by building an application that stored the data needed and necessary to submit grant applications.
Research, Sitemap, Wireframes, Prototype, User Testing, and Design
The architecture of the data and how each data table connects within the database was drawn out.
A sitemap was created after reviewing the data architecture to help figure out the best user flow.
Wireframes & Prototype:
The wireframes were designed in sketch, and then brought into Invision for the prototype.
A focus group was brought in for user testing of the prototype. View prototype.
Color schemes were thought about for best readability and usage.
